Online Final Examination/Proctor Instructions

The regulatory agency in your state requires that the student pass a final, proctored examination to receive credit for the course with a passing score of 70% (USPAP 74%).  This exam is administered online and must be taken in the presence of an exam proctor.

Prior to Testing the Examinee Must:

  • Read the Final exam/Proctor Instructions and Proctor Form.
  • Find a 3rd party Proctor who will agree to the responsibilities and instruction illustrated on the Proctor Form;
  • Schedule the final examination.
  • A minimum if three (3) business days prior to the date of the scheduled exam contact the School via Email at DLMoore@neb.rr.com and request the Proctor code.  The subject line of the email must indicate “PROCTOR CODE“.  In the email, supply the following information:
    • Examinee name, Email address; Phone number; The title of the course for which the examinee is taking the final exam; The date and time that the exam is scheduled to take place;
    • The Proctor’s name; email address and phone number.

The School will:

  • After receiving the request for the Proctor code, the School will send an email the Proctor and provide the Proctor Code, at least 24 hours before the scheduled examination.  This code must be entered by the Proctor to unlock the online exam at the time of your exam.

Choosing Your Proctor:

The final exam is administered online and must be taken in the presence of a disinterested 3rd party Proctor.

  • Try checking with a local community college (testing center) as they often offer proctoring services.  Note: it is wise to select a location that has reliable connection to the Internet and it is preferred that the connection not be wireless (wireless connections can be more intermittent.)
  • The proctor’s fee is the responsibility of the examinee.

Your proctor must:

  • Be a disinterested 3rd party, non-related to you by blood, marriage, or any other relationship which would negatively influence them from fairly administering the exam.
  • Ensure examinee provides their identity information which includes name, address, telephone number, and an identification card (driver’s license)
  • Prior to testing, read the Proctor Form and the Final exam/Proctor Instructions and agree to the responsibilities and instruction illustrated.
  • Verify that the examinee completed the exam fully in their presence under the conditions set forth in the Proctor Form.

Time to Test –  Examinee responsibilities and testing information:

  • Login into the course – Bring to the testing site the login information and password to log into the course.
  • Check with Proctor to determine if the examinee will need to bring a laptop computer to the testing site, or if the Proctor will supply the computer.
  • Examinee will be able to use a calculator for this examination; however examinee cannot use the calculator on a phone.
  • Examinee can bring blank scratch paper (which must be presented to the Proctor before testing to verify that is blank) and a pen or pencil.
  • Examinee will not be allowed access their phone or any other personal property during the examination.
  • Examinee will not have access to the course materials once the exam is started.
  • Examinee will not be allowed to reference materials during the exam.
  • Note: Examinee CANNOT exit in the middle of an exam – examinee will receive a score of 0% for the exam and it will count towards an exam attempt.

Accessing the exam: the Proctor must enter in the PROCTOR CODE they received from the school.  This code is a one time use code and your proctor will need to contact the school if you need to test again.

Once the Final Exam is completed:

  1. Exam will be automatically scored and provide a pass or fail message.
  2. Upon passing the final exam, both the examinee and the exam proctor must sign the Proctor Form. To receive credit for this course, examinee must email the signed Proctor Form to the school, DLMoore@neb.rr.com, within 5 business days.  The subject line of the email must indicate “COMPLETED PROCTOR FORM”.
  3. Once the examinee has successfully passed the exam; and the signed Proctor Form is received by the School, the Examinee will be issued a passing completion certificate, which will be sent via email to the examinee within 2 to 3 business days.
  4. The completion certificate must be submitted, by the examinee, to the Nebr. Real Property Appraiser Board.
  5. The completion certificate must be maintained by the Examinee for their records.
